Shane McMah: I’m Shane McMah. I’m a qualified LBP builder for the past 20 years, working on the tools and off the tools for different companies. Whereas, now, I’m the main builder that’s building homes in Bay of Plenty. I’ve, sort of, been in all aspects of the industry, but I have found that new home builds are my specialty.
To join the Stroud family was quite an easy decision for us. Having met James Stroud and talking to him really drove home as to why we want to join Stroud. It was that culture, the systems, and the processes. It was just a step above everyone else.
I’m very systematic and process-driven. For Lisa, it was more that family orientation and including the clients in our home builds. So, the decision to join Stroud was quite simple.
I haven’t been in a company where the processes have been so streamlined. There’s multiple systems in place that guide us, but then guides the clients through their journey. Here, at Stroud, there’s over 150 predesigned house plans available in multiple different facade finishes. So, it’s a real broad range of plans available to clients.
I’m very passionate about getting the small details correct. My main driver for building homes is to win awards. We want to be an award-winning builder, and we feel as though the Stroud house plans, kind of, allow us to do that.
Since my wife and I have taken on Stroud, it’s really given us a bit more family time. Being able to be there at the kid’s sporting events has really been the key for us. So, yeah, that’s probably one of the main factors that’s changed.
Lisa and I, you know, we really see ourselves growing into the building market here in the Bay of Plenty. We can really see our brand taking off and the public getting to know who Stroud is and what Stroud Homes has to offer.
